Allen West Takes On the Violent Rhetoric of the Congressional Black Caucus

On a related note, more drive by race baiting from the CBC:

Some of these folks in Congress right now would love to see us as second-class citizens. Some of them in Congress right now of this Tea Party Movement would love to see you and me, I'm sorry, hanging on a tree. -Rep. Andre Carson, (D-IN)

Modern Democrats have become the party of demagoguery. If you disagree with the status quo on education, perhaps believing that a voucher system might actually improve the education of our youth, you are branded as being "against education". If you suggest that steps need to be taken to prevent the insolvency of programs like Social Security, then you just want to push granny's wheelchair off a cliff.

At one point, Republicans advocated raising the amount of federal money given to school lunches, but doing it through block grants to the states, and that was demagogued as "Republicans want to cut federal school lunch program. Republicans want to starve children."

Yes. They proposed cutting federal control of the program, not the aid. Truth has never been an obstacle to the true demagogue.

For the new Party of Incivility, it is not enough to merely disagree with your opponents and let your superior ideas win out, you must seek to demonize them and engage in what Bill Clinton referred to as the Politics of Personal Destruction.

No one is advocating lynching anyone. The discussion isn't properly about race at all, but about fiscal responsibility. With unemployment for black, inner city youths far above that of the nation as a whole, it is imperative that we get our financial house in order. One could even argue that bringing unemployment down would disproportionately favor blacks, because there are more of them currently unemployed. Putting our financial house in order will, of necessity, bring conflicts among different groups advocating where dwindling resources ought to be spent.

However, the "scorched earth" policy of demonizing one's opponents for temporary political gains is shameful, and should be soundly condemned. Then, these folks, regardless of race, color or creed, should be rewarded with an all expense paid, one way trip home from the legislative halls of this great country.

Video of the Day: Tea Party Express, Kevin Jackson of "Big Black Lie" Dismiss Racist Claims

by the Left Coast Rebel

I was just over at Beers with Demo and just caught an awesome video via. CNN wherein Kevin Jackson savages the typical progressive-collectivist meme of 'racist Tea Partiers':

I actually corresponded a little with Kevin Jackson a bit back when I first started blogging. He was gracious enough to allow me some time and give me some advice. It is wonderful to see him breaking out as he is.

Also, I purchased Kevin Jackson's "Big Black Lie" and highly recommend it.

Updated: Has the Tea Party race card smear run it's course? Via Memeorandum, Politico has a lovely article up about potential Democratic Tea Party tampering:

The accusations range from helping tea party activists circulate candidate petition sheets to underwriting the creation of official tea parties, which then put forth slates of candidates that local conservatives accuse of being rife with Democratic plants.

In all of the affected races, the outcome is expected to be close enough that a third-party candidate who wins just a few percentage points could end up swinging the outcome to the Democratic congressman or candidate.

“The Democrats have come to the realization that they can’t win on issues, and with their flawed candidates, so they are forced to skirt the rules by running candidates who they hope can split the vote with Republicans,” said Paul Lindsey, a National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman.

Democratic officials deny there is any grand conspiracy.

Recruitment of so-called straw candidates or spoilers is a time-honored, if less than reputable, tradition in American politics. But in this case, some Democrats appear to be in cahoots with ideological adversaries whose ideas they hope to use as weapons against Republicans in the fall.

Now, seven House seats are the subject of controversies that are spawning threats of lawsuits and criminal complaints and even pitting conservative tea party activists against one another.

Is Everything "Out Of Context" With The Left?

by guest blogger Andrew Roman
__________________________________________________________________________

CNN's Warren Ballentine
To misspeak is one thing. It’s fairly common among Homo sapiens who communicate through spoken language. However, to speak without substance or lucidity, devoid of forbearance of thought – and to be admired for it - is quite another.

It is astonishing to me (and it shouldn’t be) how often Democrats – almost always portrayed as the most astute, most intellectual members of the political gamut - have to “clarify” and “amend” the things they say.

Have you noticed this?

Somehow, so much of what they utter needs to be placed in "proper context" after the fact.

Perhaps it just appears that way because they are afforded far more column space and air time to explain away gaffes, blunders and unqualified stupidity than Republicans are. Or maybe they just say more dim-witted things. (We may be getting warmer). Indeed, a liberal may conclude that the brightest among us are also the most complex of notion, easily misunderstood by the common folk and therefore requiring more time to elucidate their ideas for the masses – in other words, too smart for the room - but it simply isn't so.

Arrogant, yes.

Elitist, often.

But nuanced? Complex? Labyrinthine?

Not on a bet.

Is it possible, for instance, that the venomous, anti-American invective that infamously poured from the poison tongue of Barack Obama's former pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, was taken "out of context" by the great unnuanced masses? Is there a chance that his repulsive, vitriolic bellowings against the United States from the pulpit were simply misunderstood by right-wing knee-jerkers looking to bring down a black man aiming for the White House?

CNN Analyst Warren Ballentine seems to think so.

During a recent "panel" discussion on the Shirley Sherrod issue, Ballentine said:

When this story first broke, on my show, I came out publicly and said I'm not going to do anything because this is the same thing they did to Jeremiah Wright. They played a clip without the whole context.
It's interesting to note that Ballantine - the cautious, reflective, contextual straight-shooter that he is - while unwilling to entertain the possibility that Jeremiah Wright might be a racist or a hater of his country (with a mountain of evidence to support that assertion) went on to condemn the Tea Party movement as an ideology steeped in racism, even though there isn't a single stitch of truth to back it up.

If I may be so bold to ask (realizing that I am allowing my inner white hood and sheet to bubble to the surface): How exactly was the racist Wright taken out of context?

What text from his oratory masterworks have we not been apprised of that would put everything he said - including his infamously renowned "Goddamn America" commentary - into its proper perspective once and for all?

What the hell is wrong with us?

And while Shirley Sherrod's now infamous comments may have been taken out of context initially, a quick listen to the rest of her speech reveals a women who is far from the angelic, color-blind, character-over-color soul she is being portrayed as by a disgustingly over-apologetic lame stream media. She, just like most modern leftists, is a relic - a race-obsessed smear merchant with no other way to explain opposition to Barack Obama other than white racism.

(I'm waiting for someone to tell me that I have taken the rest of her speech "out of context.")

Humanity's most prolific murderer
- and a philosopher to boot
Remember Anita Dunn, former White House Communications Director? She was the one who not only waged open warfare against the privately owned, free-market media outlet, Fox News Channel (“It’s opinion journalism masquerading as news.”) but admittedly got her intellectual tingles from one of her two favorite philosophers – the man responsible for the most murders in all of human history – Mao Zedong. She said so in front a graduating high school class. The man who murdered, by conservative estimates, 70 million human beings, is one of her two political philospohical heroes.

Of course, Dunn, after the fact, had to clarify what she meant – for the shallow of mind and unnuanced – and put everything in its "proper context," blaming a deceased Republican for her misunderstood comments.

She explained:

The use of the phrase 'favorite political philosophers' was intended as irony. The Mao quote is one I picked up from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater from something I read in the late 1980s, so I hope I don't get my progressive friends mad at me.
Yeah, okay.

HBO's Bill Maher, host of the program Real Time, summed up leftist thinking in a column he penned just a month before President Obama's ascension to the Office of President-Elect suitably titled, “Republicans, Stop Calling Obama Elitist - Because the real reason you don’t like him is that he’s smarter than you.”

In one of the most telling sentences ever written highlighting liberal elitism, Maher wrote:

Barack Obama can’t help it if he’s a magna-cum-laude Harvard grad and you’re a Wal-Mart shopper who resurfaces driveways with your brother-in-law. Americans are so narcissistic that our candidates have to be just like us. That’s why George Bush is president."
Nice.

Remember when Labor Secretary Robert Reich spoke hypothetically, saying that someone running for President of the United States - if he or she did not actually care about being elected and spoke the truth about what health care reform was really all about - would be able to say, "If you're very old, we're not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It's too expensive...so we're going to let you die."

Admidst a firestorm of reaction (from conservatives only), Reich later explained that he was "taken out of context," saying, "The whole point of the mock exercise was to show that presidential candidates can't state what everyone knows to be the truth because they'll be taken apart by the Right or the Left."

Recall when Senator John Kerry notoriously asserted that young people in America who don't study or get an education "get stuck in Iraq" – one of my all-time favorite “misunderstandings.” According to the leftocracy, Republicans “got it all wrong” when attempting to interpret that one – including MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, who cracked open his Democrat/English dictionary to offer the most salient clarification of all. He explained that Kerry was actually referring to President Bush’s intelligence, and was attacking Bush’s “team” as being dense for not understanding that. Said Olbermann, "Kerry called them stupid, and they were too stupid to know he called them stupid."

Recall then-Senator Barack Obama at the now famous Saddleback Forum saying that he couldn’t appropriately comment on when human life began because it was “above his pay grade.” He eventually had to clarify his statement by explaining, “All I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions.”

(It’s interesting to note that he apparently felt he knew enough to be able to decide that the killing of that “unknown” quantity was perfectly reasonable).

When candidate Obama, talking about small-town Americans, said, “It's not surprising … they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them … as a way to explain their frustrations,” he eventually clarified what he really meant by saying, “So I said … when you're bitter you turn to what you can count on. So people … vote about guns, or they take comfort from their faith and their family and their community.”

(That is still one of the most condescending things ever uttered by Chicago's most famous metrosexual).

Remember ... Democrats, besides being the brightest among us, also mean well - unlike Republicans, whose motives are almost always sinister. Libs are the upholders of true compassion, and care far more about human beings than Republicans do.

They’ll tell you so – my favorite example of which comes from former Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean, who famously said on Meet The Press once that “Our moral values, in contradiction to the Republicans, is we don’t think kids ought to go to bed hungry at night.”

That really says it all.

...although I've probably taken it out of context.

"That Black Panther Cr@p"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Please excuse the departure from the usual headline decorum, but what better way to view the judgment exhibited by the former, front running Democrat candidate for President, Dr. Howard Dean. That was a statement he made this AM on Fox News Sunday. (Before he launched into a series of inaccurate and ill informed talking points about Fox News.)
And exactly what "crap" was he referring to? The voter intimidation case of the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia.

An obvious question might be, Is he so out of touch that he was totally ignorant of the circumstances surrounding the incident? Possibly (not likely, but possible). But he spoke with such scorn and vehemence, he certainly had formed an opinion. And his opinion was that all the outrage about the New Black Panthers not being held accountable for racially based voter intimidation and civil rights violations, was "crap".

For those of you with shorter memories than Howard Dean (again, not likely, but possible!) you can refresh your memories a bit here: "Leaders of a "Nation of Cowards" "Acting Stupidly".

You know what really would have been "crap"? Having this guy Dean sitting in the Oval Office exercising his "best judgment" in keeping our country strong and free. Which, in retrospect, may have been no worse than the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!

USDA Director Shirley Sherrod Exposes NAACP/Government/Media Complex

by the Left Coast Rebel

Seeing something like this from a top official in the Federal government (USDA official Shirley Sherrod) is shocking. On the other hand, this shouldn't surprise anyone. Andrew Breitbart writing for Breitbart:
We are in possession of a video from in which Shirley Sherrod, USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development, speaks at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner in Georgia. In her meandering speech to what appears to be an all-black audience, this federally appointed executive bureaucrat lays out in stark detail, that her federal duties are managed through the prism of race and class distinctions.

In the first video, Sherrod describes how she racially discriminates against a white farmer. She describes how she is torn over how much she will choose to help him. And, she admits that she doesn’t do everything she can for him, because he is white. Eventually, her basic humanity informs that this white man is poor and needs help. But she decides that he should get help from “one of his own kind”. She refers him to a white lawyer.

Sherrod’s racist tale is received by the NAACP audience with nodding approval and murmurs of recognition and agreement. Hardly the behavior of the group now holding itself up as the supreme judge of another groups’ racial tolerance.

Here's the damning video of Shirley Sherrod speaking before the NAACP in Georgia:

Now if you watched the video above, pay particular attention to part of her speech (1:45) in which she acquiesces the point that ethnocentric Marxism centers on Marxism and not completely on ethnocentrism.

Or something like that - either way, your tax dollars and mine taken from us by gunpoint support this kind of thing.

And don't for a second think that an incident like this is one-of-a-kind. Our Federal Leviathan is packed to the gills with people like Shirley Sherrod. So are the universities, the press.....

The skinny-guy authoritarian that can't quit smoking, putting his feet up on the desk in the Oval Office, as well. Call him the 'grand-poobah' of such.

There's more - and a lot of it at Breitbart. In closing, I particularly love this quote from Andrew Breitbart midway through his piece:

The NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus do not want racial harmony. They want political victory, and the race card is their Stradivarius.
Absolutely quotable - I think I'll print that out.

Update: Shirley Sherrod Resigns! Robert Stacy McCain has all the details here. Discussion via Memeorandum. Cross posted to Left Coast Rebel, Rational Nation.

The Amazing NAACP Racist Tea Party Smear Vanishing Act

by the Left Coast Rebel

After chasing RightKlik and Conservative Generation's excellent Think Progress/racist Tea Party smackdown, I almost missed something just as important.

It seems that the powers that be, in the leftist NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Collectivist-Progressives), are getting a little queasy over their resolution castigating the entire Tea Party movement as 'racist.'

Politico reports:

NAACP President Ben Jealous said Thursday that the resolution passed by the group on Wednesday does not call the tea party “racist.”

The resolution the NAACP approved Wednesday at its annual conference in Kansas City alleges that the tea party has used racial epithets against President Barack Obama and has verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress.

A portion of the resolution does indeed characterize the behavior as “racist,” but Jealous said Thursday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the resolution was not intended to condemn the entire movement as such.

“We aren’t saying that the tea party is racist,” Jealous said. “What we’re saying is that with their increasing power comes an increasing responsibility to act responsibly…and to call out when they see those things on those signs.”

Jealous argued that racist groups have embraced the tea party movement and said that what the NAACP would like to see one of the movements leaders – whether it be former House Majority Leader Dick Armey or former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin – denounce those elements of the tea party.

“These sort of KKK type groups saying they like the tea party and want to be a part of it, it would just seem someone would call out and say we don’t want them to be a part of it,” he said.

Asked if he thought members of the tea party are racially insensitive, Jealous responded: “No, not at all.”

Interesting, could it be that this the NAACP has bitten off more than it can chew this time? For once perhaps, they are reaping what they sow. Unlike the GOP hierarchy, we in the Tea Party movement are ready and willing to call them out on their race-pimping lies.

Almost forgot - the National Association for the Advancement of Collectivist-Progressives (of color) also is doing it's best to scrub the 'racist Tea Party' resolution and not posting it online.

NAACP - courage of their convictions!

Perhaps they have learned a lesson - if you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the (race-baiting) kitchen.

UPDATED: I don't like posting without a graphic. This one is funny:

aclunaacpabsent

Exit question - is America waking up to the toxic alliances that the Democrat party has to groups that were once respected but now home to radical, fringe leftists? This isn't your grandfather's Democrat party any more....

Iroquois Passports Won't Cut Red Tape

About 00:33 into the tape: "Passports issued by the Iroquois Confederacy". Six words you don't hear used together every day!

NEW YORK — An American Indian lacrosse team will not be allowed entry into England for the world championship of the sport the Iroquois helped invent unless members accept U.S. or Canadian passports, the British government said Wednesday.

The Iroquois Nationals team won't be attending the tournament in Manchester unless the British government reverses its decision and allows them to use passports issued by the Iroquois Confederacy, said Tonya Gonnella Frichner, a lawyer for the team.

"They're telling us: 'Go get U.S. passports or Canadian passports,'" Frichner said Wednesday shortly after getting the news. "It's pretty devastating."

Imagine that! A group of people that live inside the United States required to have a US passport to travel to and from other countries! Who woulda thunk it?

...U.S. authorities had said the issue was a matter of border security rather than Iroquois sovereignty.

"For other countries, including the United States, that is not a travel document that is on par with a U.S. passport," Crowley said of the Iroquois documents. He noted that the Iroquois have had similar problems with their passports in foreign countries before.

How's that whole "nation within a nation" thing working out for you?

The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse team illustrates that "liberty and equality for all" means different things to different people. IMHO, tribal sovereignty is a legal fiction that should be abolished and every American should be subject to the same laws and assimilated into the melting pot that is the United States.

One of These Things is Not Like the Other

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Well, maybe two of these things!

O.J. Simpson, black on white violence. Acquitted of a double homicide.
No riots. No retrial by federal court for civil rights violations.

Rodney King, white on black violence. Four LAPD officers acquitted in state court.
Riots. Retried by federal court for civil rights violations, two officers found guilty and sent to prison.

New Black Panthers, threat of black on white violence. Voter intimidation.
No riots. Trial by federal court for civil rights violations. Case dismissed before sentencing.

BART shooting, white on black violence. Johannes Mehserle, convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Riots. Investigation started by feds for civil rights violations.

Which of these things is not like the other?

Racist Rants of a New Black Panther

A few days ago, in "Leaders of a Nation of Cowards" "Acting Stupidly", we looked at the slam dunk case of voter intimidation that the oxymoronic Obama Justice department decided to drop.

Here's about a minute of video of the "choir boy" Holder and Obama are giving a pass to:

Leaders of a "Nation of Cowards" "Acting Stupidly"?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Remember when President Obama said that a police department was "acting stupidly" in the arrest of a belligerent Cambridge professor, before he even knew the facts of the case? And remember when Eric Holder called us a "nation of cowards" because we did not want to have open discussions on race?
Would it be fair to say then, that Eric Holder is both stupid and a coward for not pressing charges against the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia on account of their race? Is he too cowardly to pursue this case because of race? Because, as far as I can see, this was indeed a "slam dunk" civil rights violation case. There were witnesses, pictures and even video of voter intimidation and the case was dismissed.

Individuals within the Justice department (Obama Justice Department - there's an oxymoron for you!), such as J. Christian Adams have resigned because they were instructed to drop the case and not bring these individuals to justice.

If Eric Holder wants the nation to have a dialogue on race, let's start one here. What reason did you have in not pursuing justice against these men with a small mountain of evidence pointing to their guilt, other than their race?

Mr. President: If you think the Cambridge police "acted stupidly" when they arrested your friend, before you ever heard the particulars of the case, why don't you acquaint yourself with the stench coming from your "Justice Department", and when you have all the facts, tell us if you think Eric Holder "acted stupidly" in NOT prosecuting these men.

A "nation of cowards" waits with baited breath.

Foul Mouthed Cowardly "Reconquistador"

Definitely NSFW, as Moonbattery puts it: "the language is not suitable for children, work, or civilized company."

If swearing offends you, please, do not listen.

Did you notice the cowardly nature of this foul mouthed POS? He sits, in the safety of his car and shouts challenges and insults over to old men across the street, all the while with his foot poised over the gas pedal so that he can run away like a frightened, scalded dog if necessary.
How macho is that? /sarcasm

If he had been a real man, he might have gotten out of his car, taken his Mexican flag across the street and looked these men in the eyes as he insulted them. As it was, for all his cursing and brave talk, he himself is nothing but a pendejo.
A cowardly POS. If tougher border laws will keep bozos like this out of the country, then I'm all for it!

Look Out Black Holes! -NAACP Protest

Hallmark is pulling a graduation card they've sold for years off the shelf because of complaints by the LA NAACP. Apparently they can find no real racism for them to complain about!
A cartoon character says: "You black holes...you're so ominous!" in a mock challenge to the planets and the universe. This is supposed to demonstrate just how cocky some graduates can be when they're ready to take on adult responsibilities.
Why anyone would think that in the context of putting planets on notice that the character would digress to give a shout out to "black whores" is beyond me.

What is truly demeaning is the stupidity of this protest.

More on the Arizona Mural Controversy: Proof That Arizonians Are Racist

by Chris W. My Thoughts on Freedom

You would have thought that Arizona raised the Confederate flag over the state capitol today.

In the biggest non-story of the day, the left is all aflutter with the news that in Prescott, AZ artists were asked to lighten the faces of children on a mural on the Miller Valley Elementary School. This story is such big news that it is at the top of Memeorandum. Actually it is a slow news day and this is really the best the left can muster to rant about.

Not ones to take the explanation by the school's principal, Jeff Lane that the committee who commissioned the mural wanted the artists to "make [the children] look happier and more excited, fix the scale of the faces and remove some shadowing that made the faces darker than they are." the nutroots on the left are crying racism even though the one of the artists even admitted that the requested changes would "make the mural more accurately depict the photos of the Miller Valley School models."

You see, the progressives are not happy with Arizona's stand on illegal immigration and are enraged that we will not back down to their rhetoric and lies. So what is a radical to do? Rule 5 says ridicule is man's most potent weapon and rule 13 says pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it and if you don't think this is what they are trying to do, read here and here and here and here.

It is much ado about nothing if you ask me.

Via Memeorandum

(Editor's Note) Chris W. is an Arizona resident and a level-headed libertarian concerned with the problem illegal immigration poses in his state. He blogs at My Thoughts on Freedom.
