Breaking News: "California Cows" Don't Have Proper Papers!

Papers, please?

The 'Happy Cows' that come from California in those ubiquitous ads from the California Milk Advisory Board may actually be coming from New Zealand.

It has come to light that the advertisements are being filmed outside of the country, and one prominent member of the California Assembly has taken issue with this.

Gosh! I'm glad that we don't have any more pressing problems in California than Kiwi cows impersonating Californians! Heh.

Assemblyman Ted Lieu (D - Torrance) is proposing a bill for the Assembly to require that advertising for California-funded programs should be created and recorded in California. Bill AB 1778 would require any state entity that uses public money for television commercials promoting California or California products to film those ads within state lines

Okay. It's all about the Benjamins! Still, it may seem like a bunch of BS to some. Even if the Kiwi cows try to horn in, what would moove California dairy producers to try to milk this for all it's worth? They shouldn't be cowed by a little competition!
